I'm here at JFK after spending the weekend in New York City. I'm now headed back to California, and it's a little sad to leave.

Each time I come visit NYC, I stay with different friends. This time I stayed in Brooklyn-- first time every spending the night in Brooklyn! It was an amazing opportunity to reconnect with my friend, Pam, whom I met at Aurora, the restaurant I worked at when I lived in NYC 5 years ago.

I was here for my friend, Justine's wedding, and it was an honor to be there with her.

I reconnected with her, met with some new friends, Amira, and saw some old ones, Jenny, etc.

When you ask people for help, amazing things happen.

When you're vulnerable and able to lean on others, you'd be surprised how much they want to put their hand out to help you.

The generosity, kindness, compassion, and understanding of my NYC friends really touched me.

I'm grateful for having friends all over the world. I'm grateful for always meeting new people and making new friends, but I'm also extremely grateful for cherishing the friendships I already have.

Thank you, God.
